These are two sheets of plastic with the mold shape as an integral part of the sheet. The 2 pieces are STAPLED together, and when you remove the staples to use the mold, you have sharp edged holes where the staples were. Since the cardboard instructions have clear elastic bands to hold it with the molds, there's no need for staples. Don't think they'd last for very many uses, either, due to the type of plastic. Not worth $4.99 a set!

The shells break when I take them out of the mold. I need to figure the right amount of chocolate to put in so they come out a little thicker. Other than that, I really like them.

I just bought exactly this same product (same brand, everything) at a craft store, without a coupon or sale, for 2.99.... and I thought that was pricey for two little pieces of plastic.
